You've probably seen a number of news stories about pets being surrendered by owners who can't afford to feed them. With the steady stream of news about unemployment and foreclosures, there is an increasing need for a community pet food bank to address this heartbreaking situation. St. Augustine Humane Society is in the organizational stages of creating an operation at the newly renovated facility.
