B.A.R.K. (Be Aware, Responsible and Kind) Dog Bite Prevention Program
Today, more children suffer from bite and scratch injuries than all of the childhood diseases combined! But just as they learn to dial 911 or cross the street, kids can learn to be safe with animals. Our B.A.R.K. (Be Aware, Responsible and Kind) Dog Bite Prevention Program is fun and entertaining as well as educational, and includes an award-winning video, role-playing, educational handouts and lesson plans. Geared to 3rd and 4th grade levels.
Let's Be Kind to Animals! for Preschoolers
The preschool years are a time of amazing development. During this period, a child's view of the world expands to include family members, friends, pets and wild animal neighbors. More than ever before, preschoolers discover that everyone - including the backyard bird and the family pet - thrives with kindness and respect. It's also a time when habits begin to form, so it's a perfect opportunity to make those habits humane ones. The Let's Be Kind to Animals! Program includes music, movement, arts and crafts and dramatic play to encourage safe, responsible, respectful and compassionate behavior toward our animal friends.
What is Spaying & Neutering? And Why Should Pets Have These Operations?
Solving the huge problem of pet overpopulation can be accomplished if all pet owners take the responsible step of not allowing their companion animals to breed. Puppies and kitties are cute, but not when they are homeless, unwanted and in shelters. This educational program helps children understand the seriousness of pet overpopulation, and the importance of spaying/neutering as the most crucial step to take to save animal lives. Geared to ages 7-9.
